If you're just getting started with Xojo, the all-new forums are an excellent resource for getting help. If you're a veteran of Real Studio, you may have used the old forums and aren't familiar with the new setup, so here's an overview of the new system.
What Are Forums?
If you aren't familiar with Internet forums, there are a few basics that can be helpful to learn. In a sense, forums are a sort of gathering place or chat room where people can discuss related topics (see Figure 1). In the case of the Xojo forums, the main topic is Xojo for the most part (though there is a place to discuss off-topic issues).
That main topic is divided into various categories. In the case of Xojo, that's areas like "General," "Web," "Getting Started," "Customer Service," "Databases," "OS X," and so on.
