Magazine issues are like children: they each have their own unique personality. In this issue, we've a strange assortment. Hopefully you'll enjoy the unusual concoction! I'll begin with the weird: in "A Xojo Trip" we have our first humor submission. It's about trying Xojo for the first time -- perhaps while under the influence of mind-altering substances -- and it's definitely out there!
I wrote the article that's the focus of our cover art while I was battling weeds in my vegetable garden this summer.
We touch on controversal territory as Brad Hutchings gives tips on how to use Xojo's much-maligned Navigator.
In the main story, I write about my challenges in upgrading a large ancient Real Studio project to Xojo. I sure hope my painful experience helps! I also expanded upon a discussion I had with a subscriber on the nature of "when to dim" into a short article. Enjoy!
Don't forget the Omegabundle!
Barring a reprieve from the governor, the 2013 Omegabundle (
http://www.omegabundle.com/ ) is set to end September 15, so now's your chance to snag nearly $5K worth of Xojo tools for a mere $399. This bundle includesxDev and all back issues (normally $299 by itself). If you're already a subscriber you'll be renewed for another year. Also : watch for an announcement for the upcomingOmegabundle Mini bundle.
