Things to Note

In July, Xojo 2013 Release 2 shipped with a lot of changes and improvements to the IDE, Cocoa, the documentation, and more. If you have not already fetched it, you should go do it right away.

Also, starting with Xojo 2013 Release 2, the Xojo User Guides, QuickStarts and Tutorials are now available in the Apple iBookstore. These books are free, of course. Search for them in the iBookstore using "Xojo" and then download them to your iPad for easy reference and some fun summer reading.

Lastly, Xojo 2013 Release 2 is now available in the Ubuntu Software Center. You can find it in the Development IDE category where it is available as a free download.

Container Controls

This was briefly mentioned last month in my bullet list of new stuff in Xojo, but I feel it deserves more attention: everyone can now use ContainerControls in Xojo desktop apps to simplify your user interface design.
