Introduction

The smart phone, and its larger cousin the tablet, has ushered in a new phenomenon—the quantified life. With these devices, users can track every aspect of their lives in ways not possible a decade ago.

Today, we look at one aspect of the quantified life—personal health. We will learn the benefits of tracking one's health and the challenges it brings. We will design the data structures needed for health tracking and the user interface needed to present the health data. And we will implement code for the basic journal workflow.

The demo project, FooHealth, is built with the 2013r1 build of Xojo. It is available from xDev website and distributed under a BSD licence.
