Excerpt of article text...
If you read "Give Yourself to the Dark Side" in
xDev 16.3 (http://www.xdevmag.com/browse/16.3/16304/), you may be asking, "Wait a second, what happened to parts 2-4?"I'll release those in twenty years! :)
You see, I'd originally laid the second part of the tutorial within days of completing the first part. However, between then and time of publishing, macOS Mojave was announced and it features a new "Dark Mode" which is user-selectable. So all my series plans are up in smoke!
Please read my "Mojave" article in
xDev 16.4 (http://www.xdevmag.com/browse/16.4/16403/) before continuing here, as you will need to know Mojave changes things. We'll also need some code from that article in order to update our existing slider before we can move on and add the improvements I already had planned.Preparing for the Invasion
So there are a couple of modifications we need to do to our slider to make it consistent with the "Dark Mode" on Yosemite, all the way through to Mojave.
