Are you sick of me writing about PDFs yet? Personally, I love PDFs and I love the pace of improvements Xojo is making to their PDF classes. It seems like every new release of Xojo adds cool new PDF abilities.
Being able to generate PDFs within your own apps is a really good feature, so the more capabilities Xojo adds in that regard is terrific. If your app deals with potentially sensitive information (say it's an accounting app dealing with finances), being able to create encrypted PDFs will save your users an extra step of having to encrypt it separately.
Fortunately, supporting PDF encryption is really easy. You simply take an existing
PDFdocument
object (PDFPermissions
object ("permissions") to it:
pdf.permissions = permissions
