Excerpt of article text...

Jeremie Leroy is a well known contributor to the Xojo community. He's the developer behind the popular Packr (https://packr.app) travel packing list app, an expert in the app store submission and optimization process, and most recently, a Xojo MVP. I was thrilled that Jeremie agreed to be interviewed, and to have an opportunity to learn more about him.

Jeremie's Background

When did you first become interested in software development?

I started programming in high school when I got my first programmable calculator, an HP 40g. The calculator accepted programs written in BASIC. For each math and physics problem that could be automated, I created a program that would take the variables as input and spit out the different steps of calculations and result.

I started learning REALbasic during an internship while studying mechanical engineering. A month or two after the start of the internship, I released my first piece of software that partly funded my engineering studies.
