Excerpt of article text...

Apple isn't usually the first to market, but they often set the standard by thinking deeply about technology and taking a fresh approach others miss by running too fast before the tech is truly ready. Wall Street has been critical of Apple since the start of the year as being "behind" in so-called "Artificial Intelligence," tanking the stock last January. (I thought that was silly since Apple uses lots of AI, but they simply call it machine learning or other names.)

Now at Apple's developer's conference in June (WWDC), the company has cleverly claimed the "AI" name by calling their tech "Apple Intelligence" (https://www.apple.com/newsroom/2024/06/introducing-apple-intelligence-for-iphone-ipad-and-mac/). Who says Apple doesn't have AI? Ha ha!

After a moment's hesitation, the stock market approved, briefly putting Apple back ahead of Microsoft as the most valuable company (a title Apple lost last January as Microsoft's AI bets pushed their stock higher). As of this writing, though, both have lost out to newcomer Nvidia!
