This xDev is out a little late due to my medical troubles over the last couple of months. While medical issues may not be directly related to Xojo, in a broader sense, health is related to everything. If you're interested in the details of what I went through, I wrote an article explaining my weird eye surgery and the recovery process (see page 12).

I had planned to cover some of the features in the new 2024r4 release of Xojo, but I was rather distracted by my medical issues and didn't have time to explore them. Next time!

In This Issue

Building on last issue's preemptive thread article, I created a batch image processing app that works on multiple images simultaneously. Best of all, the edits are generated by XojoScripts, so they can be customized and reused as needed.

Eugene shows how to install an AI on your Raspberry Pi, which you can access privately, for free.

Tim has another entry in his new series, "The Business of Xojo," where he provides ideas and tips on how to make extra money on the side with your Xojo skills.

In our columns, Tim interviews Anthony Cyphers, the genius behind GraffitiSuite; Paul explains the internals of Xojo; Stefanie shows how to add information to an Apple Contact; and I used ffmpeg to extract frames from videos. Enjoy!
